Mother and Child : Madison Wildflower Sunset Session / Lifestyle Photographer

Mother and child sessions are something special, especially when you have five children. This mother handles motherhood with such grace. Her children are polite, listen to her, and are extremely talented. I must know her secrets!

Finding connection with each child in daily life is difficult, especially the more children you have. How do you make them feel special and listened to? Having three of my own, I feel there is never enough time to give them the attention they need individually, but I try.

Melissa is highly organized, or at least it appears that way, and takes a genuine interest in each of her children’s lives. When she asked me to do a mother and child session, I was worried we wouldn’t have enough time with each of the kids to capture that real connection. We only had a certain amount of time with each child, and I didn’t want anything to feel forced.

Thankfully, her kids were helpful and at ease, and I was able to get some sweet smiles and belly laughs. They told me what they loved about their mama and why she’s so special.

Melissa, you should be very proud. You’re doing a wonderful job with them.
