Connection that feeds the soul. Vulnerability with each other. The everyday little things. The feeling of releasing a deep breath in nature. Light of every kind. These moments are the meaning behind my photographs. They’re my inspiration.
I’ve been a Graphic Designer turned Photographer for over 10 years. I bought my first digital camera when I had my first baby and quickly discovered how much I love photographing the real stuff. Becoming a mother made me feel even more than I ever thought possible, and Photography helped (s) me through the struggles and see the raw beauty in those fleeting days.
I didn’t get in front of the camera much when my kids were small, and I regret that. You must get in front of the camera so that the people in your life will remember your presence. When they see your smile, they’ll remember your laugh. When you’re photographed in the kitchen, they’ll remember the taste of the food you made for them. And when you bath your little one in the sink, maybe just maybe, they’ll remember the smell of the soap and the way your fingertips felt in their hair. It’s about so much more than looking perfect; it’s about the time you have together, the messy, the love.
Now, you may be thinking this all sounds so serious. The truth is, it is, but I also really like to have fun! I’m down with creative shoots, weird ideas, traveling, tell me what you're thinking!
Let's get together and make some art.
Jill was amazing for our maternity photos! I felt comfortable and empowered throughout the session, and the photos turned out beautiful.
Jill is a truly gifted photographer! We have had several family sessions with her and we are always blown away by the final photos. I love her attention to detail and the way she uses light during the golden hour. She is also amazing at toddler pictures and keeping the little ones engaged!
i had waited a long time to have a special motherhood session, and i knew jill would be able to capture the connection between a mother and a child. The pictures turned out better than i could have hoped for, and I smile every time I look at them.
